Cybersecurity leadership

Developing the next cyber leaders

Kin Levi

A strong CEO should leave behind people who can make good decisions without waiting for permission. That requires teaching judgment, not just handing over tasks.

What I have learned

Future leaders need practice with ambiguity, feedback that names the reasoning, and room to challenge a plan safely. Diversity of experience improves the questions a team asks.

What I would do

I would let emerging leaders run bounded exercises, present tradeoffs to executives and own a follow-up action. Then I would debrief the decision process, not only the outcome.
